Tryouts

VBA offers experienced professional coaching on every team, who prioritize personal growth and development on and off the field.  The Taipans travel baseball program has select spots open for players ages 6 to 16. Official tryouts are once per year in the summer.

Tryouts for the 2025-2026 season will take place on July 13th at Brengle Terrace Park: 1200 Vale Terrace Drive, Vista, CA 92084.

Outside of official tryout dates, players can register for an open workout by contacting head coach Adrian Burnside. Open workouts allow new players to practice with our teams for a week without cost or commitment.

If you are unsure which age group your child belongs in, please look up his or her travel baseball age (which differs from recreational leagues) for the incoming year by utilizing the USSSA Age Calculator.
